The GT has all-wheel drive, perfect for treacherous conditions, and to make it even better, this trim also has an upgraded braking system. How many trims are available with the 2018 Challenger?

For a personalized exterior there is a long list of colors for you to choose from, including Plum Crazy, Go Mango, Redline Tri-coat, Granite Crystal Metallic, White Knuckle, Maximum Steel Metallic, F8 Green, Billet Silver Metallic, Octane Red, Yellow Jacket, TorRed, Destroyer Grey, Pitch Black, B5 Blue, and IndiGo Blue. Interior color options include Black/Ruby Red, Sepia, Black, Black/Tungsten, Black/Demonic Red, and Black/Pearl. The trim levels for 2018 can be placed into seven trim categories. The SXT is the first, showcasing the standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated mirrors, keyless ignition and entry, a six-way adjustable power driver seat, a six-speaker sound system, automatic headlights, a rearview camera, a 60/40-split folding seat, and dual-zone climate control. Both SXT and GT which is the next trim level, have the 3.6-liter V6 engine. The major difference with the engine is that the GT comes standard in AWD. The GT builds on the AWD capability with an upgraded brake system, leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated and power adjustable steering wheel, rear parking sensors, satellite and HD radio, a 8.4-inch touchscreen, extra car apps, and ambient lighting. The next trim is R/T, giving you a V8 5.7-liter engine, as well as the option to choose one of the following transmissions, an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. Besides the transmission, the R/T also gets upgraded brakes, as well as limited-slip differential, fog lights, and active sport exhaust. The R/T 392, the next trim, comes in with a 6.4-liter V8 engine, rear parking sensors, performance brakes by Brembo, sport-tuned suspension, Alpine audio system, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Uconnect, and new car apps. Continuing up in trims, the SRT 392 brings you xenon headlights, leather interior, ventilated and heated front seats configured driving modes, adaptable suspension dampers, along with blind-spot monitoring, and a Harmon Kardon 18-speaker audio system. The R/T T/A, R/T Shaker, R/T Scat Pack, and SXT Plus can each be added as a different trim option to their respective counterparts. The last trims, the SRT Hellcat and Demon, focus on speed, and power, which is evidenced by the 6.2-liter V8 engine with 840 horsepower in the Demon, and the 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 707 horsepower in the Hellcat.

What exactly is the SRT Demon?

The SRT Demon is the newest member of the Dodge Challenger family. This trim was built with drag-racing in mind, as evidenced by the 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine, producing 840 hp and 770 lb-ft of torque. While not only being the muscle car that people flock to for power, the SRT Demon holds the record for the fastest quarter-mile by a car with a front-wheel lift. The ET for that run was 9.65 seconds, with the speed reaching 140 mph. The V8 engine produces an insane amount of horsepower, which is showcased in the SRT Demon's 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, as well as its ability to go from 0 to 30 mph in one second. The engine that is fueling these impressive feats could not do it without the 6,500 rpms, the 2.7-liter supercharger with a pressure boost of 14.5 psi, the After-Run Chiller, and the SRT Power Chiller. This is a car that is reinventing what it means to be a factory car by being the first of its kind to run 100+ high-octane unleaded fuel and the first with the TransBrake system. Not only that but this car can have the passenger seat removed in order to give the Demon its best chance when it comes to racing.
