How many different engines are available with the 2018 Challenger?

There are four different engine options available in the 2018 Challenger, many of which depending on the trim level that you buy. These engines range from the 3.6-liter V6, the 6.4-liter V8, the 5.7-liter V8, and the 6.2-liter V8. The V6 engine creates 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. The 6.4-liter V8 produces 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The 5.7-liter V8 offers a six-speed transmission with eight-speed automatic transmission with 372 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, or a 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter V8 in the Hellcat produces 707 horsepower, and 650 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, the 6.2-liter V8 engine in the Demon can add racing fuel, leading to 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque, or by adding premium unleaded, the engine produces 808 horsepower and 717 pound-feet of torque. The GT has all-wheel drive, perfect for treacherous conditions, and to make it even better, this trim also has an upgraded braking system. The gas mileage for the Pentastar V6 engine with the eight-speed automatic transmission is about 30 mpg highway.

How many trims are available with the 2018 Challenger?

For a personalized exterior there is a long list of colors for you to choose from, including Plum Crazy, Go Mango, Redline Tri-coat, Granite Crystal Metallic, White Knuckle, Maximum Steel Metallic, F8 Green, Billet Silver Metallic, Octane Red, Yellow Jacket, TorRed, Destroyer Grey, Pitch Black, B5 Blue, and IndiGo Blue. This trim was built with drag-racing in mind, as evidenced by the 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine, producing 840 hp and 770 lb-ft of torque. While not only being the muscle car that people flock to for power, the SRT Demon holds the record for the fastest quarter-mile by a car with a front-wheel lift. The ET for that run was 9.65 seconds, with the speed reaching 140 mph. The V8 engine produces an insane amount of horsepower, which is showcased in the SRT Demon's 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, as well as its ability to go from 0 to 30 mph in one second. The engine that is fueling these impressive feats could not do it without the 6,500 rpms, the 2.7-liter supercharger with a pressure boost of 14.5 psi, the After-Run Chiller, and the SRT Power Chiller.
